Please read through all of the below terms and policies before clicking on the online form and requesting a rental date. Rentals are currently $60 for up to 4 hours (with a 30-minute window before and after for setup and wrap-up). $20 per additional may be available for purchase.
Prior to Rental:
Forms and Payment must be turned in a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event. Filling out the form does not guarantee a rental. We reserve the right to refuse your request for any reason.
The Wreck Center Building Use Policies:
1. General Use – If there are any spills, please clean them up using the mop and bucket in the boiler room. Please make sure all lights are off AND EXIT DOORS are looked before your group leaves the building. All functions must stay on the Wreck Center side of the building. No admittance on the office side.
2. Kitchen Use – If you are making use of the kitchen for your event, you may use the refrigerator on the right of the entrance for your foodstuffs. Any food or drinks that are in the refrigerators, cabinets, and counters prior to your arrival are not for your use unless you acquire prior permission (i.e. sodas, ice cream, etc.) Please do not sell anything you didn’t bring with you. You may use any utensils we have for cooking. If you use it, please clean it! We expect the sink to be empty when your event is over. In addition, please wipe down the counters before you leave. If you leave any foodstuffs in the kitchen for your group’s future use without clearly marking them they can and may be subject to use by our staff. Anything left in the refrigerator that is not clearly marked can and may be used by our staff. If anything remains in the refrigerator for more than 3 weeks it will be thrown away, whether it is marked or not.
3. Wreck Room Use – You may move furniture, except for the large pool table, provided you return it to its original position. You may use any of the wooden folding chairs in the boiler room, provided you return them to the boiler room before you leave.
4. Heating & Air Conditioning - On the thermostat, located on the wall outside the men’s bathroom, use the up and down arrows to set the temperature. (You should not need to open the thermostat panel at all to make the system work. If you are having problems, please call your Wreck Center contact person.)
When heating, try not to set temperature above 66 degrees. (Much above 66 degrees will keep the furnace running constantly, especially in the middle of winter.)
When cooling, try not to set the temperature below 75 degrees.
Note: The thermostat is programmed to reset to 60 degrees 4 times throughout the day. You may have to reset the temperature depending on how long you are here.
5. Bathrooms – If, during your event, paper towels or toilet paper are needed for one of the bathrooms, they are located on the shelf in the boiler room.
6. Shower Use - If you will need to use the shower facilities, please talk to your Wreck Center contact prior to using.
7. Wall Partitions - If you would like to use the mobile partition walls for your event, please talk to your Wreck Center contact prior to the event to help set them up.
8. Damage – If, during your event, something gets damaged in the building (a wall, piece of furniture, bathroom stall, mirror, etc.) please fill out a Damage Report Form (located in an envelope on the tack board by the kitchen) and leave it on the serving bar. Please fill it out to the best of your knowledge and ability.
9. Lost/Misplaced Items – Any items found by our staff will be placed in a box under the counter to the far left. They will be kept for one month, at which point they will either thrown out or given to Good Will in Philipsburg.
If for any reason you cannot comply with one or more of these policies, please contact Jeff at 803-230-4015 prior to your event. As the organizer of your event, you are responsible for making sure your volunteers are aware of these policies and comply with them to the best of their abilities.
